Chicken and gravy








Happy Weekend!!

Tonight we tried something new at our house. 

Chicken and Gravy over mashed potatoes. 

Absolutely delicious! 

Start with 2lbs boneless skinless chicken breast sliced thin. Salt and pepper chicken and cook over medium heat until it reaches 160°.





Once chicken has cooked, remove it from the skillet. Add to the skillet 4 tablespoons of butter, 1 chicken bouillon cube, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and 4 heaping tablespoons of flour. Stir to form a roux. 

Then add 4 cups of chicken broth stirring frequently til boiling to make gravy. 


Once gravy thickens, shred chicken and add it back to the gravy. 


Serve over mashed potatoes and enjoy!
